Employment How To Apply

Please read  Applying for a position at Pymble.pdf prior to commencing your application for an advertised position.

Step 1: Information about the position

Obtain position information from the Employment at Pymble - Current Positions page.

Step 2: Application Cover Sheet or Application for Employment form

Download and complete the relevant application cover sheet or Application for Employment form from the Current Positions page

Step 3: Required documentation

Collect the required documentation as listed on the cover sheet. This may include:

  • Cover letter - outlining the reasons for your interest in employment at the College (one page)

  • A statement of education philosophy (academic positions only. Max. 300 words)

  • A current and detailed resume outlining:

 - educational background - please include academic transcripts

 - relevant work history inlcuding name of employer, position    held/subjects taught, length of time in each position, major duties/responsibilities or achievements, involvement in pastoral care and/or co-curricular

 - membership of professional organisations and relevant professional development courses undertaken

- name and contact details for three (3) referees

Step 4: Sending your application

Send your completed application to the Principal, using one of the following methods:

  • Email: employment@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au

  • Fax: (02) 9488 3071

  • Post: PO Box 137 PYMBLE NSW 2073

  • Hand deliver: drop your application to Reception in the College Administration Building.

Your application should be submitted no later than the advertised date and time. Late applications may not be accepted.

How your application will be processed

Applications that are emailed or faxed will receive an email acknowledging receipt of application.

Applications which are posted or hand-delivered will receive a letter acknowledging receipt of application.

The short-listing process will generally commence following the close of applications and may take up to two weeks to complete. The time will vary according to the number of applications received and the availability of panel members.

Applicants who have not been short-listed will be advised in writing as soon as possible after the short-listing process has been finalised.

Applicants who have been selected for a first interview will be contacted by telephone to arrange a suitable time. A confirmation email will be sent to each interviewee with information regarding the interview and a map of the College indicating the meeting place.
