  • Girls from Kindergarten to Year 2 are based in our purpose-built Preparatory School. This offers a friendly, caring and cooperative environment in which all students are encouraged to learn by discovery, develop a love of learning and strive for their personal best in all areas of school life.
  • Care of our girls is coordinated by Head of the Preparatory School through class and specialist teachers. All girls are encouraged to contribute to the care of others and quality relationships are developed between staff and students. The School Counsellors and Chaplain have a special responsibility for the support of students and their families.
  • The Preparatory School provides a firm foundation in the basic subjects. Your daughter will participate in a wide range of activities in all Key Learning Areas - English, Mathematics, Human Society and its Environment, Science and Technology, Practical and Creative Arts and Personal Development/ Health/ Physical Education.
  • Your daughter will be encouraged to develop thinking skills and strategies to facilitate later learning.
  • Computers will be used in each classroom to familiarise girls with information technology and to support classroom teaching.
  • Cocurricular activities are provided with specialist teachers, giving your daughter an opportunity to participate in Music, Speech and Drama, Library, Languages other than English and Physical Education (including Ball Games, Gymnastics, Athletics and Swimming).
  • Girls have access to all College facilities.
  • Preparatory School offers programs which extend and challenge students who have talents in particular learning areas.
  • Resource teachers provide assistance for children experiencing difficulties in any of the basic subjects.
  • Intensive English lessons are provided for children from non-English speaking backgrounds, helping them to participate fully in school life.
  • Classroom curriculum is supplemented by excursions enabling girls to experience topics first hand.
  • Before and After School Care programs operate daily.
  • Vacation Care programmes are also available.
  • The Preparatory School Parents' Association and the Family Group provide opportunities for parents to meet socially.
  • Parent/Teacher Interviews and Parent Information Evenings are held at regular intervals during the year and parents are encouraged to play a supportive part in their daughter's education.
