The College appreciates the absolute necessity to plan and provide for its future to allow it to remain a world leader in the education of girls and young women.
Buildings and facilities must be created and updated, special educational projects will be undertaken and there is a comprehensive scholarship program to be financed.
Another fundamental concern is to ensure that the College is financially equipped to deal with unexpected difficulties and cope with changes in external circumstances. Reduction in government funding is one such possibility.
Pymble Ladies’ College operates a number of distinct funds, where monies are held to meet obligations, allow access to opportunities and permit the College to look confidently to the future.
The Building Fund, the Library Fund and the Scholarship Fund are funds which serve specific purposes. The Scholarship Fund and the Building Fund have deductible gift recipient status and donations to these funds are eligible for a tax deductible receipt.
The Pymble Ladies’ College Foundation has grown over thirty years through prudent management. Its funds are used for the benefit of the College in various ways. It assists with the financing of building works and contributes to scholarships and other educational initiatives. It has the capacity to assist the College to manage its revenues and minimise the impact on fees should it experience difficult circumstances for any reason.
The Foundation corpus is managed conservatively and provides a safeguard against the uncertainties of the future as well as the ability to take advantage of opportunities.
