Policies and Forms

  • When students are issued with a College laptop they are given a Laptop Use Agreement which states the terms and conditions that apply. These forms are intended to be read and signed by the student and their parent of guardian and returned to the IT Department where they are filed. Please be aware that the conditions listed on the Agreement still apply for students who have not returned signed forms.

It is important that students abide by these policies. We have found that some students install download applications like uTorrent, etc (in order to download music), messenger programs (e.g. MSN Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, etc), or try to access websites that go against the College policy. Please remind your daughter that she must abide by the College’s policies. Failure to abide by these policies may lead to the loss of some or all network privileges.

  • Pymble laptops are protected against accidental damage and loss, through protection care offered by the suppliers and carries an excess fee.
Please remind your daughter that laptops should either be kept with her or locked away in her locker. Laptops should never be left unattended and unsecured anywhere in the College. The theft of laptops that are left unattended and unsecured is not covered.

Please read the Laptop Protection Tips for that is covered and what is not covered by the protection care in terms of Accidental Damage and Theft.

Very useful information on minimising damages to laptops is available in the Laptop Care Instructions

  • Please read the Toshiba Warranty document to see what is covered and what is not covered by Toshiba’s Laptop Warranty.
