Performing Arts
The performing arts are a vital part of life at Pymble.
Education in the performing arts is a key part of the College's Preparatory, Junior and Senior School education (Kindergarten to Year 12) curricula. The College has an outstanding centre, the Gillian Moore Centre for Performing Arts, which provides professional standard facilities for all aspects of the performing arts.
The curriculum is sequential from the Preparatory School through to the Senior School and assists students to develop skills and an understanding of creating, performing and a knowledge of the historical and cultural contexts of the arts. Performing Arts at Pymble provides opportunities for students to make connections among the arts, with other disciplines within the core curriculum, and with arts resources in the community.
The performing arts, broadly dance, music and theatre, are key elements of culture and engage students at a number of levels. This engagement provides challenges to the individual and often becomes a life-long experience.
