Pymble Ladies' College Students

Student health and wellbeing is integral to the learning process of our students. At Pymble, there are a range of staff and services that support students to realise their potential, learn to manage personal success and challenge, and engage productively both at school and in their external community.

Wellbeing at the College encompasses the girls’ cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual and physical states of being, and supports them developmentally to discover who they are and who they aspire to become. To meet this end, student wellbeing is a whole-school approach which strives to:

  • deliver curriculum that provides opportunities for personal development of positive values, attitudes and behaviours related to one’s learning
  • provide an environment that promotes engagement in College life where students feel they are supported, valued and have purpose
  • support each student to access opportunities that enable and enrich their learning experiences
  • build upon principles of duty of care, positive communication and effective relationships for each student
  • support academic, co-curricular, community service and leadership outcomes
  • strengthen networks through investment in parent and staff learning opportunities related to personal wellbeing
  • develop in all students the College values of care, courage, integrity, respect and responsibility.

Student Health and Wellbeing Framework

The Student Health and Wellbeing Framework recognises Pymble families have the first and most significant influence on their children’s learning, wellbeing and development.

When families and schools maintain a successful partnership, research shows students have increased confidence, social
skills, emotional resilience, communication skills and general wellbeing.
