Pymble Ladies’ College is a school of the Uniting Church in Australia for girls Kindergarten to Year 12 with boarding from Year 7. At Pymble, we foster a world-class educational environment with the importance of global citizenship and a worldwide perspective central to our strategic intent.

We believe our staff, both teaching and non-teaching, are our most valuable resource. We are proud to have passionate and dedicated staff who recognise the unique strengths and qualities of every Pymble girl.

The role

Our Lifeguards provide an integral service to our Aquatic and Fitness Centre and we are excited to be expanding our team.

You will be a qualified and experienced Lifeguard, with Royal Lifesaving qualifications, or equivalent. Fit and energetic, you will be the first point of call for safety at our state-of-the-art Aquatic facility and work a variety of shifts across a seven-day roster. You will be offered some early starts, with the centre open from 5.30am during the week. However, if you’re more of a night owl, afternoon and evening shifts would finish at 9.00pm. Being a friendly and approachable person, you will also be a guide for all attendees of our centre, and ensure all spectators, parents and swimmers abide by our conditions of entry and act in a safe and appropriate manner.

Our hourly rate is well above the award and includes penalties and overtime where applicable.

About you

You will have:

  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
  • Pool Lifeguard qualifications (Royal Lifesaving or equivalent).
  • Open and clear communication skills.
  • Previous experience as a lifeguard or in the lifesaving industry is highly desirable.
