Pymble Ladies’ College is a school of the Uniting Church in Australia for girls Kindergarten to Year 12 with boarding from Year 7. The College is committed to creating a personalised learning environment for every Pymble girl that is universally acknowledged for its outstanding quality and exceptional opportunities. One of the key elements of our strategic plan Towards 2020: Striving for the highest is the development of a high performance and learning culture to enable the delivery of an excellent education.
GAP staff at Pymble Ladies’ College work with our committed and professional Boarding staff and are a key part of our caring and inclusive Boarding community. As members of the Boarding team, Gap staff reside in one of our three Boarding Houses. During term time all meals are provided and access to kitchen facilities is arranged for the term breaks.
Gap year staff work 30 hours per week throughout the school term and are encouraged to take advantage of all that is on offer in the local community. Term breaks provide an excellent opportunity for Gap staff to venture further afield and explore all that Australia has to offer.
Gap year staff duties include, but are not limited to:
- Boarding House duties including supervising meals and assisting with the Evening Study Program
- Assisting staff across all areas of the College including the Preparatory and Junior Schools, Information Technology Hub, Facilities Department and Health Care Centre
- Coaching and assisting with sport and outdoor education programs.
