UPDATED 3.40PM WEDNESDAY 29 JANUARY:
Thank you for your understanding, flexibility and support over the past few days as the College continues to update you following advice from relevant authorities regarding the novel coronavirus. The health and wellbeing of our Pymble students, staff and families is, as always, our highest priority.
Given we are a Boarding community, where students and staff live onsite, we are more likely to make decisions that err on the side of caution. As you can understand, we take our responsibility for our girls very seriously and are always working to ensure we provide a safe and happy environment for all.
Further to our SMS sent to you last night, I write with more information regarding our guidelines.
The College has worked on a comprehensive list of Frequently Asked Questions based on queries from families who completed the coronavirus form, along with questions asked of staff in our sub-school and Boarding office. This is intended to be comprehensive and I would encourage you to refer to this in the first instance should you have questions.
Please note that following the latest information from a number of sources, and in consultation with Knox Grammar School who are following a similar approach, we have updated our guidelines for all students, staff and community members.
Our updated guidelines now include those who have come from, visited or transited through Hong Kong, in addition to the previous communication regarding mainland China. According to the College, ‘transited’ means if your flight landed in Hong Kong or China. Further details can be found in our Frequently Asked Questions document, that is attached and will also be posted on the Parent Portal and updated as any new information becomes available.
To all our beautiful girls who have not been able to attend school, please know you are very much in my thoughts. Whilst I am excited to have started the school year and am enjoying the positive energy our girls bring to our campus, I’m very much looking forward to having all of our Pymble family together again in a few weeks’ time.
We will continue to update you as necessary.
