Relationships first, then academics: Teaching refugee students
In a collaborative article, Julie Shaw and Mark Way address the challenges and successes in the College’s refugee students’ program. With a focus on trauma-informed pedagogy, Mark’s Pymble Plus action research project centring around mathematics education encourages educators in their efforts to meet the unique needs of refugee students.
