Families play an important role in helping children feel confident, prepared and successful in the water. A few simple things make a big difference.

  • Arrive a few minutes early
Our lessons follow a structured format, with skills building from the very start. Arriving early gives your child time to settle and begin their lesson calmly.
  • What to wear
Fitted swimwear, a swim cap and goggles are required. As our Learn to Swim pool is heated to 31°C year-round, rash tops, wetsuits and board shorts are generally not required, as they can restrict movement and technique development.
  • Encourage effort, not perfection
Children progress best when they feel supported. Celebrating effort, bravery and improvement builds confidence and keeps learning enjoyable.
  • Support good lesson habits
Swimming lessons are a great opportunity for children to practise listening, following instructions and being part of a group.

Equipment is available to purchase at reception: goggles, swim caps, fins and reusable swim nappies.
