Diving offers swimmers the opportunity to develop advanced technical skills, strength and confidence through a structured pathway from beginner to competition. At Pymble Swimming, we offer a structured Diving program across two pathways: Recreational and Competitive.

Our approach prioritises technical proficiency above all else. A strong technical foundation helps divers progress safely and confidently as they develop more complex skills. Four pillars determine readiness to progress at every stage: Technique, Physical Readiness, Mental Dexterity and Coach Evaluation.

Program values

Patience

The quality of enduring challenges with calmness and composure. Great divers are built from the ground up, and mastering foundations takes time.

Courage

The firmness to overcome difficult physical and psychological challenges in the face of fear. Diving asks something unique of every athlete who steps onto the board.

Self-Discipline

Controlling impulses and desires in favour of long-term goals. In training, this looks like steady, mindful action focused on quality and process.

Grit

Perseverance and passion for long-term goals, maintained through failures, adversities and plateaus. Grit is more important than talent in any sport.
