Outdoor Education
Starting with small outdoor explorations in the Junior School and stepping up to progressively more challenging expeditions each year as she travels through the Secondary School, Outdoor Education at Pymble is intentionally designed to foster strength of character, meaningful connections with peers, independence, life skills, leadership and environmental stewardship through multi-day experiences at Vision Valley and other natural bushland settings.
Outdoor Education Program
Year 7
Over a five-day program, students hike and canoe through stunning bushland in the national parks surrounding Vision Valley and camp each night under the stars.
Year 8
This expedition-style camping program on the Colo River involves bushwalking, canoeing, climbing, mud runs, obstacle courses and team initiatives.
Year 9
Our signature four-week-Year 9 Residential Program at Vision Valley offers Pymble girls a transformative co-educational experience with Year 9 boys from our partner school and a unique opportunity for a digital detox for the duration of their stay.
Year 10
Students choose their own level of challenge in Year 10, testing their courage across a variety of adventure modes and trip duration, ranging from five-day to nine-day adventures.
Years 11 and 12
Senior students can extend their immersion in the outdoors by choosing to undertake a challenging multi-day journey expedition. A unique program is developed for students each year, ranging from hiking the Larapinta Trail in the Northern Territory, to water-based journeys in New Zealand or trekking in Nepal.

Year 9 Residential Program
The Year 9 Residential Program is a ground-breaking, life-changing experience for Pymble girls and boys from our partner school.
For four weeks, students live and learn in the peaceful, technology-free environment of Vision Valley, giving them time and space to connect with themselves, each other and the environment. Under the care of our expert Vision Valley team, students enjoy a carefully curated range of challenges and experiences and the chance to develop and learn in a unique environment.
Each program is a signature, seasonal experience that is unique to each group and the students’ own individual journeys, passions and interests. This contextualised learning allows them to link academic concepts to the real world, and to connect more deeply within the intentions of the program
