Partnering with our families
A smooth transition into a learning environment is supported when children feel safe, confident and prepared.
Strong partnerships between families and staff are equally important: sharing information about your child’s interests, strengths, needs and routines allows staff to provide consistent care and support.
Our educators consider this partnership vital to each child’s emotional wellbeing and growing sense of identity.
We also support our families by creating opportunities to hear from experts in early childhood development, and through events where families can come together to strengthen our community.
Respect is supporting me to… understand that each person has different ideas, interests and thoughts to share.
Courage growing in me… helps me to try things that may be new and to understand that feeling a little uncertain at first is normal.

Additional information
Child Care Subsidy
Families who wish to apply for Child Care Subsidy (CCS) are required to complete the online CCS assessment via the myGov website prior to starting at the Early Years School. This will determine eligibility and level of Child Care Subsidy entitlement.
On enrolment, we require the CRN of the person linked with the child (Parent 1), along with the child’s CRN, so we can register attendance and ensure you are receiving the appropriate subsidy. Child Care Subsidy is a means-tested subsidy paid directly to the EYS service as a fee reduction.
Food and nutrition
Pymble’s Early Years School promotes healthy eating habits in a supportive environment where children are encouraged to enjoy a variety of nutritious foods.
The EYS uses Chartwells, our Pymble Ladies’ College caterers, who follow relevant guidelines and work in partnership with families to support balanced meals that meet individual children’s needs, including cultural preferences, known allergies and medical requirements.
Mealtimes at EYS are an opportunity for positive learning experiences that help children develop independence, social skills and an understanding of healthy food choices that support their wellbeing.
Our daily menu and a copy of the 12-day menu cycle is always on display within the centre.
Uniforms
In preparation for their transition to school, our Kangaroos and Wallabies wear a uniform designed for comfort in both adventurous play and rest. Wearing a uniform also helps identify them as children of the Early Years School as they venture more widely across the College campus for excursions and additional curriculum experiences.
The uniform includes:
- Shorts or skort
- Track pants
- Polo shirt
- Fleece jacket
- Bucket hat
The uniform is available for sale at the College Uniform Shop: visit shop.pymblelc.nsw.edu.au to buy online and see opening hours.
Location and access
The EYS is located in the Hunter and Vicars Centre, adjacent to the Braith Williams Aquatic Centre, with easy access from Centenary Car Park and Grey House Walk.
Dropping off and picking up is quick and easy with reserved parking bays for our Early Years families in Centenary Car Park.
Pathways into Junior School and Secondary School
Our Early Years School offers a prioritised, natural pathway into Pymble Ladies’ College for Kindergarten to Year 12. A separate enrolment is required, please contact our Enrolments team for further information.
