Emotional Intelligence
Pymble girls are courageous, determined learners who approach new challenges with optimism and excitement.
At Pymble, your daughter will develop the emotional intelligence and strength of character to thrive in new and unfamiliar situations, and inspire others to do the same. Importantly, she will appreciate that significant parts of her character have been developed in times of adversity and learn to embrace life with humility, gratitude and grace.
Opportunities and highlights
Comprehensive wellbeing support
Wellbeing at Pymble isn’t something that happens to your daughter, it is built and strengthened over time. Our evidence-based pastoral care structure includes dedicated Heads of Wellbeing, a bespoke Wellbeing curriculum, and Wellbeing (Compass) groups that journey together through Years 7 to 12 to foster connection, belonging and meaningful relationships. A new, purpose-built Health and Wellbeing Centre brings together our on-site healthcare nurses, psychologists and wellbeing staff in a safe, welcoming environment where students can access additional support if need be.

Building skills for life
In the supportive ‘sisterhood’ of your daughter’s Compass group, her dedicated Compass teacher will teach a sequenced wellbeing curriculum built on the internationally recognised CASEL Framework to develop her Self-awareness, Self-management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills and Responsible Decision-making. At the heart of our program are three priority areas for our girls: Friendships, Leadership and Accountability, and Risk and Resilience.
"The best thing about Middle School is interacting with our Compass group, building connections at Year 7 camp, and having opportunities to explore our passions and interests through classes and co-curricular activities."
Sueann and Lilly, Year 8 Students

Character-developing Outdoor Education
Pymble’s Outdoor Education Continuum is a life-changing journey designed to empower your daughter to approach new challenges with optimism, courage and excitement. The key focus areas include personal growth, connection to peers, life skills, leadership and environmental stewardship, delivered through progressively longer experiences at our stunning Vision Valley campus and other bushland settings.
Our signature four-week-Year 9 Residential Program offers a transformative co-educational experience with Year 9 boys from our partner school, Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie), at Vision Valley.

Spiritual reflection and belonging
As a school of the Uniting Church in Australia, we offer your daughter time and space to pause, reflect and consider her place in the world in fortnightly Chapel services and casual weekly ‘Ignite’ sessions she can choose to attend. In the Secondary School, Religious Education includes an exploration of the world’s major religions to support her understanding and respect for the different beliefs within our local and global communities.
