Developing the next generation of female footballers
Pymble’s Football program has a long track record of success, with many of our students selected to play with the Junior Matildas, the Young Matildas and Matildas during their time at the College and beyond.
In 2026, the College entered into a formal partnership with English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur to deliver another level of opportunity for our girls, the Pymble + Tottenham Hotspur Football Development program.
The multi-year strategic partnership with the club is the first of its kind among girls’ schools in Australia and reflects Pymble’s commitment to providing unparalleled resources and pathways for our athletes and sportswomen, both in Australia and globally.

“Tottenham Hotspur is delighted to partner with Pymble Ladies’ College, a school that shares our deep commitment to inclusion and the development of young people.”
Daniel Mitchell, Head of Global Development, Tottenham Hotspur
About the program
Under the partnership, a highly experienced Tottenham Hotspur International Development Coach is based at Pymble for six months of the year to work closely with our Head Coach of Football, Chris Wood, and the team to support the development of our football program. This includes holding specialty coaching clinics for our students and the wider community.
Pymble coaches and players also have opportunities to train at Tottenham Hotspur’s specialised facilities and connect with other women around the world who are working towards careers in professional football.
As a designated Australian Olympic Pathway School, Pymble is uniquely positioned to support students from grassroots sports skills to the global stage. Our partnership with Tottenham Hotspur cements that position and Pymble’s standing as Australia’s premier school for girls’ football.
Our honour board
The Pymble + Tottenham Hotspur FC partnership builds on Pymble’s proud tradition of producing elite footballers. In recent years, several of our students have been selected for the Junior Matildas and Young Matildas, the Australian women’s under-17 and under-20 football team representing Australia internationally. Several have gone on to be selected for the Australia’s National Women’s Football Team, the Matildas. They include:
Ellyse Perry (2008)
Rachael Souter (2012)
Annika Clayton (2014)
Julia Vignes (2019)
Rachel Lowe (2018)
Sarah Hunter (2021)
Willa Pearson (2028)
