BOOK WEEK | An Adventure to Remember!
What a fantastic week of literary adventures we've just had! We kicked off our week-long celebration of this year's "Book an Adventure" theme with a brilliant dress up day for our Junior School students, where everyone embraced the spirit of the day.
Conde Library was buzzing with excitement, hosting a thrilling scavenger hunt and a continuous reading relay. We were also fortunate to welcome authors Amy Doak and Tobias Madden to host workshops with our students. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the joy of reading and adventure!

BOARDING | Boarders Get Baking!
There’s a special magic to our Boarders Get Baking sessions! This fantastic program brings girls from all age groups together on a Friday afternoon to create delicious food and lasting friendships.
Seeing our boarders relax, laugh and connect while surrounded by the smell of home cooking is very special. This is more than just a cooking class; it's a taste of home and a beautiful example of our Pymble community in action.

PERFORMING ARTS | A Pirate's Life for Our Year 1 & 2s!
Last week, we celebrated the courage, confidence and collaboration of our Year 1 and 2 students as they took to the stage for their fantastic performances of Pirates of the Curry Bean.
The students lit up the stage with so much creativity and joy. Their passion for performing arts was clear, as they showcased the skills they have honed in their weekly lessons. The girls also gained a deeper understanding of the story by exploring the text in their English classes with the support of their Compass teachers.
It was a true team effort—a wonderful example of how learning and creativity come together at Pymble!

NATIONAL SCIENCE WEEK | Our students are continually decoding the mysteries of the universe. In class, Year 3 are investigating the rotation and revolution of the Sun, debunking common misconceptions and exploring the vastness of our solar system. Year 5 are exploring animal adaptations through hands on experiments, experiencing the effect of blubber using butter and gloves and looking at the ideal beak shapes for handling various types of food.
Year 6 are examining how electrical energy is used in transportation, making batteries and electric cars, propelling planes, exploring trains and connecting circuits and more.
Last week we added something extra because it was Science Week. Across the Junior School our students enjoyed bubble investigations, disappearing ink, crystal making, magic milk and more. Science at Pymble is about curiosity, discovery and the joy of learning, and that spirit is alive every week of the year.

JUNIOR SCHOOL | Pymble Gets Behind Jeans for Genes Day!
Our girls truly got behind the cause, turning the school into a sea of blue last week as we swapped our uniforms for denim to support Jeans for Genes Day!
Students and staff from Kindergarten to Year 6 embraced the spirit of the day, raising much-needed funds for the Children's Medical Research Institute. It was wonderful to see our community come together for such a worthy cause.
Thank you to our amazing Junior School Parent Group who organised such a wonderful, and delicious, day!

HSC TRIALS | A Sweet Tradition for Our Year 12s!
Each year, our thoughtful Principal spends the weekend before trial exams baking and icing 300+ cupcakes so each Year 12 student can celebrate the end of their first exam with a homemade treat. This small act of kindness is accompanied by a heartfelt message to our soon-to-be graduates:
“While your exams are important, they will never reflect all the beautiful parts of what makes you the very special person you are.
“When your marks arrive and the feedback is in, remember it’s designed to help you move forward. Focus on what you can learn and how you can improve, safe in the knowledge that in the end…it will all be okay.”
A beautiful gesture that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of our Pymble community!
