Sony Camp is one of the most meaningful traditions in our College year.

Each December, students from Pymble and Shore come together to create four unforgettable days for a group of remarkable children. It is an extraordinary privilege to care for them, to share in their joy and to be part of moments that remind us what true connection looks and feels like. Sony Camp also provides parents and carers with much-needed respite in the busy lead-up to Christmas, extending the impact of these days far beyond the camp itself.

Our Year 11 students take on this responsibility with genuine kindness and dedication, offering their time and energy so wholeheartedly.

To everyone who makes this possible – our teaching and medical staff, parent volunteers, and supporters across both communities – thank you. Your generosity brings this beautiful tradition to life each year and ensures Sony Camp continues to make a difference where it matters most.

Great results

Congratulations 🎊

As Australians under the age of 16 prepare to lose access to their social media accounts tomorrow, our aim is to ensure every student feels safe, heard and supported as they navigate this change.

Year 9 student Clara has respectfully captured the voices of students who understand the law is designed to protect them, yet are also feeling a sense of loss for something that has been a positive part of their lives.

Clara’s Slam Poetry assignment reminds us to check in with all the young people in our lives, to understand how they are feeling and help them build healthy, connected relationships beyond social media apps.

We are #PymbleProud to celebrate the ongoing achievements of our Pymble alumni and the impact of the FN Scholarship Program in supporting young women as they pursue their aspirations beyond school.

Stories like this remind us of the power of opportunity, mentorship and education to shape meaningful career pathways and open doors for future leaders. We are grateful to our community for helping make these journeys possible.

On Wednesday 10 December, the world for young people in Australia will dramatically change when the social media ban comes into effect. Meta already has started removing children’s accounts from their platforms.

At our Junior and Secondary School Speech Days this week, our Principal Dr Kate Hadwen shared some reflections, along with advice for students and families.

“Change is hard, and it would be simplistic and unrealistic to think this move to make 16 the minimum age for engagement in social media is not going to have an enormous impact on our young people.

“Pymble supports an educative process, built on listening to student voice and working respectfully with all parties, to help create positive outcomes. We believe it’s a respectful, listening and learning approach.

“To support our girls and their families as they navigate this adjustment, we have prepared a guide to the new social media law which we are delighted to share today. The guide contains handy tips for students and families to assist with the transition.

“As we approach next Wednesday, let’s do this together, with realistic strategies and a readiness to offer support as and when it is needed”.

Hands up if youve had a great year!

This week, our College community came together for Junior School Speech Day and Secondary School Speech Day, marking the conclusion of the 2025 school year and celebrating the achievements, growth and commitment of our girls ✨

Speech Day is a moment to reflect on all that our students have accomplished - academically, creatively, in leadership, in sport and in service to others. It is also a reminder of the values that guide us and the bright futures ahead for every Pymble girl.

To our dedicated teachers and staff, thank you for your unwavering commitment, care and expertise. To our parents and families, thank you for your partnership and support throughout the year. And to our students - congratulations on everything you have achieved. We are proud of you and excited to see what you will do next.

Here’s to a wonderful end to the school year and the promise of new opportunities ahead 💙

Congratulations all the girls!

Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐

We are #PymbleProud of our Junior School writers Jing H, Sarah K and Claire H, who have been recognised and awarded Highly Commended or Winners in the national Pens Against Poverty Competition, and who attended the official award ceremony in Canberra today.

Through their thoughtful poems and stories, these young advocates have used their voices to shine a light on those less fortunate, reminding us of the impact that powerful words can have.

Congratulations, girls. Your compassion, creativity and courage inspire our Pymble community.

And just like that… the journey from Year 7 to 12 in boarding at Pymble comes to an end, leaving behind memories that will be carried long after the final goodbyes.

“Pymble has really set us up so well. Over the six years, it’s sort of like giving us our own chance to grow our wings, so we can fly away and leave the nest.” - Sophie, Year 12 2025 Boarder
